The short version
Rapid Radial has no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting. It does not phone home about what you edit, what media you open, or how you use it. The only routine connection it makes is to check that your licence is valid.
1. What the software sends, and when
When you activate, and during background re-checks — at most once a week, and only when your computer is online — the software sends the following to Keygen, our licensing provider, acting as our processor. If your computer is offline, no connection is attempted and nothing is sent.
Data
Licence key - To identify and validate your licence
Machine fingerprint — a one-way SHA-256 hash of a stable machine identifier to enforce the two-computer limit. The raw hardware ID never leaves your computer, only the hash.
Platform — the operating-system family for support and seat records.
Device name — your computer's hostname so you can tell your two computers apart when managing them
Please note: a computer's hostname sometimes contains a person's name, for example “Bob's MacBook Pro”. If you would rather that name not be stored, rename your computer in your system settings before activating.
2. What never leaves your computer
These stay local, always:
Your media files, project files, timelines and clip names.
Your slot configuration, profiles and favourites.
Voice search audio — speech recognition runs on your own machine.
Search history and anything you type into the wheel.
3. Who we share data with, and why
These are every third party that receives personal data from us, and the only ones:
Paddle (merchant of record) - Your payment details, email, billing country for taking payment, tax, invoices, refunds. Paddle collects these directly as an independent controller
Keygen - Licence key, hashed machine fingerprints, device names, activation times, and your email for Issuing licences, enforcing the two-computer limit, revoking on refund.
Railway (hosting) - Your email address and licence recordRunning the service that turns a completed purchase into a licence.
Postmark (email)Your email address and licence key for sending you your licence key.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles. If we add or change a processor, this table changes with it.
4. Where it is stored
Licence data is held by Keygen on AWS infrastructure in the United States (US-East). There is no EU data residency option. Transfers out of the EU/UK rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the processors' data processing agreements.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your licence record for as long as your licence exists, so that we can support you, re-send your key, and honour the two-computer limit. Payment records are kept by Paddle for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Hello@rapidradial.com. One consequence worth stating plainly: deleting your licence record ends your ability to activate the software, and we cannot restore it afterwards. If you want your data deleted and you still want to use Rapid Radial, tell us and we will explain what that means for your licence first.Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Rapid Radial is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EU and UK. We do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we handle your data will be announced with the release that introduces them.
